Osmosis, Active Transport, Vesicles
Journal
Review your notes from last class and define:
1. Osmosis
2. Hypertonic
3. Hypotonic
4. Isotonic
Osmosis, Active Transport, Vesicles
Osmosis: Diffusion of water through a membrane
Active Transport: Movement of molecules from an area of low concentration to an area of high concentration using energy
Vesicles: Transporting large molecules into an out of the cell by pinching off a portion of the cell membrane to form a vesicle
Endocytosis: movement of molecules into the cell through vesicle formation
Exocytosis: movement of molecules out of the cell by vesicles
