Energy of Electrons
Electrons behave like particles and waves. Electrons can absorb energy and jump to higher energy levels. They immediately want to lose that energy and will drop back down to the lower energy level. When they do this, they emit a photon of a specific wavelength. This wavelength corresponds to the electromagnetic spectrum.
